Government Funding – Skills First Program 2025

Study with Government Support

Knights College is approved to deliver government-subsidised training under the Skills First Program in 2025. This funding helps eligible students access training at a reduced cost, making it easier to upskill or gain a qualification that can improve job opportunities.

Who Can Access Government-Funded Training?

You may be eligible if you meet both of the following:

1. Residency Requirements

You must be:

  • An Australian Citizen, or
  • An Australian Permanent Resident (holding a permanent visa), or
  • A New Zealand Citizen

2. Education Criteria

You also need to be one of the following:

  • Under 20 years of age on 1 January 2025
  • Enrolling in a Foundation Skills course
  • Aged 20 or older, and enrolling in a course that is a higher level than your current qualification
  • A Victorian resident of any age, whose highest qualification is:

    • Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
    • Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL – Intermediate or Senior)
    • International Baccalaureate Diploma
    • A Senior Secondary Certificate from another Australian state
    • Any VET certificate completed while at school
