Government Funding – Skills First Program 2025
Study with Government Support
Knights College is approved to deliver government-subsidised training under the Skills First Program in 2025. This funding helps eligible students access training at a reduced cost, making it easier to upskill or gain a qualification that can improve job opportunities.
Who Can Access Government-Funded Training?
You may be eligible if you meet both of the following:
1. Residency Requirements
You must be:
- An Australian Citizen, or
- An Australian Permanent Resident (holding a permanent visa), or
- A New Zealand Citizen
2. Education Criteria
You also need to be one of the following:
- Under 20 years of age on 1 January 2025
- Enrolling in a Foundation Skills course
- Aged 20 or older, and enrolling in a course that is a higher level than your current qualification
- A Victorian resident of any age, whose highest qualification is:
- Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
- Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL – Intermediate or Senior)
- International Baccalaureate Diploma
- A Senior Secondary Certificate from another Australian state
- Any VET certificate completed while at school
